Join, children’s author Addy Farmer, in creating our very own Brigg Monster story to add to the folklore of the area. They'll be folk stories about strange creatures from around Brigg; a walk to discover the natural surroundings of Millennium Green and a chance to make up our very own folk monster with art and craft.
Addy is an award-winning children's writer published with Walker and Random House. Two of her picture books were adapted for music and theatre. Her latest book, I Love You, Sunshine, was developed with Child Bereavement UK. Her next book, Little Peat, is about a lost and found peatland railway engine. She is represented by Darley Anderson Literary Agency.

Join poet Tanya Akrofi for a short meditation by the bandstand in Wrawby Street to help open our eyes and bring us into a space of stillness. You are then invited to take slow steps around the high street and see what you notice from this perspective of 'awe'
Tanya is a writer and oral storyteller who helps people connect with the power of their words. She is a published poet, short story writer and facilitator of workshops for the young and the young at heart.

Our first digital festival day will explore the traditional Lincolnshire dialect feature an audiovisual revisit to Addy Farmer's Brigg Monster workshop and finish with a reading of The Old Man & The Boggart by Lincolnshire dialect expert, Loretta Rivett.

The final day of the festival will delve into the history of Brigg with local history expert Nigel Fisher, we'll have an audiovisual revisit Tanya Akrofi's Walk With Me poetry workshop and finish with a story reading by Addy Farmer.
